We can take your Portraits in the studio or on location; be it in the home, garden or in a place that is special to you. As with our Weddings we do a traditional style of photography with the emphasis on getting relaxed natural pictures of your family, friends and don’t forget the family dog. Our studio portraits sitting fee starts at £35.00 and location portrait sessions fees are charged by the hour.
The Session
Firstly you need to make an appointment to come to the studio for the photo session. Allow about an hour. We will take group shots of everybody and then any other combinations of individual family groups, i.e. Grandparents with their Grandchildren, mum and dad with their children, Mum and Dad on their own, children on their own, also individual shots. You can even bring the family dog!
Tips on clothing style
The goal of the portrait is to direct the attention to the face or faces in the picture. It is important for the choice of clothes to be comfortable and right for the style of pictures you are looking for.
*Similar outfits and colour can be very effective.
*You can bring a change of outfit for each person to give some variety.
*Very simple garments always photograph best.
*Polo necks or v-necks are very flattering provided neither is exaggerated in style.
*Trousers or jeans are good.
*Normally we remove shoes, but if you want shoes in the shoot please ensure they are clean.
*Remember to bring nappies, drinks and favourite toys for the little ones.
